The April 2, 2014 program : "Musical Highs and Lows"
Gracewood Singers and the Capital Area Flutes. The Gracewood Singers
will be singing many varied styles of music, including the song "Peace
in the Valley" arranged by David Lantz (former member) and the final
song, "Michigan Morn" is arranged by Owen Reed, ( a former theory and
composition teacher at MSU). Both of these songs are sung in their honor
because they recently have passed away.
A special feature of the Capital Area Flutes is Hari Kern will play
Mendelssohn's "Song Without Words" Op.30 #2 on piano and the flutes will
play it as a quartet. Also, another deligthful addition to the program
is a tone poem "Tall Grass by a Michigan piano teacher from Bay City.
The program begins at 1:00pm at Plymouth Congregational Church.
