In past years…..

LMM has offered live, monthly programs for both adult members and performing arts students. Traditionally, programs featured a wide variety of performances by a diverse group of professional area musicians. We have held many outreach events designed to bring the joy of music to seniors in residential housing centers.

Our Choral Ensemble has presented live concerts several times a year. Our Performing Arts Students programs have included live programs with lectures, instruction, and performing opportunities and awards programs for elementary through high school, and our
Richardson Scholarship program helped advanced arts students and young professionals.

In recent years…..

The pandemic has been challenging for LMM, an organization devoted to providing and supporting live music and the performing arts. With activities focused on in-person performances and gatherings, many LMM planned activities since early 2020 have been postponed or canceled.

Meanwhile, positions on our all-volunteer board of directors remain unfilled, and there are many areas in which LMM would appreciate your help. Please let us know if you’d like to help
put the wind back in our sails!

LMM Programs

Live programs temporarily resumed in September 2021 with outdoor performances at Lansing’s Francis Park Pavilion featuring advanced music performers from MSU, harpist Belle Coty and the Plasticity Saxophone Quartet.
